Primary School number 6 is in Poland , Kolobrzeg by the Baltic sea area. We are health resort. There are 900 students in our school from age 5 to 15. There are 86 teachers in our school. We are realizing schools promoting health, a safe school for healthy children in healthy cities. We are characterized to a medium level of education system. We are ready for new tasks and actions. We are open for new challenges.
Strengths of the school:
1) Well-prepared, highly qualified teaching staff.
2) A variety of extracurricular activities that develop students’ interests and talents.
3) At the school there are classes for students requiring specialist support: corrective, compensatory, speech therapy and therapeutic classes.
4) The pedagogical council systematically analyzes the results of the classification, competence test after the third grade and the test after the sixth grade, formulates conclusions and implements for further work.
5) Students are successful in artistic competitions and sports competitions as well as local theme competitions.

The project which aims to use legends and myths in education is a great value to us regarding our school’s mission. Therefore we are really interested and highly motivated to take part in ‘Legends and Myths on Board’ project. This project seems that it will help us to reach our mission.
Vision of the school
Our school is a modern, friendly, institution, preparing students to continue their education at the next stage of education. The educational and preventive program of the school is focused on the students, their needs, enabling them to develop in a comprehensive way. The students of our school will grow into people who have self-esteem and responsibility for their own behavior.
The main person for this project will be teacher – Anna Bujak and the second teacher is Dorota Manturweicz, she is school second headmaster. These two teachers will be the key people in the project activity. Besides there will be some other teachers in the project team which is planned to consist of 5 teachers. This team will coordinate all the project work such as selecting the project partners etc. Most of our staff are experienced and willing to work on projects. Therefore if a project person leaves the project other school staff will replace him or her and the project will go on being implemented.
