The Comprehensive Institute “XXV Luglio-Bettolo”, which includes Nursery, Infant and Junior Schools, is located in the Borgo, a central district of the city of Taranto, rich in historical and cultural heritage., The Borgo hosts the renown National Archaeological Museum “MArTA” and the Aragonese Castle; in addition, there are sport facilities, voluntary centres, cinemas, theatres, civic and governamental buildings, and a vibrant shopping quarter. The Institute has established strong collaborations with local authorities, cultural associations and other institutions aimed at promoting educational activities among its students. The National Archaeological Museum “MArTA”, the university center, the State Archives, the Cultural Center of the Municipality of Taranto, the Municipal Library, as well as several other agencies and cultural associations in the city have all partnered with the Institute, delivering a rich programme of cultural enrichment initiatives for all school levels. Multi-year collaborations are also active for the promotion of music and theatre.
